I stumbled across a new YouTube channel by Dr Lory Peters in which she addresses #PianoPractice. Having followed more than a few #PianoLearning channels over the years, I like her approach to practice. I find the videos well organized, well delivered and encouraging. Her advice helped me improve my practice. Might be worth checking out though it's a work in progress and she hasn't released a lot of content yet. https://youtu.be/KAL2NnXk4Ms

PRACTICE. Improve as a piano player by playing piano. Improve as a writer by writing. Learn a new language by immersion. Embrace and learn from mistakes. Be consistent. If you get stuck, move on and return to the problem area later when you’ll be better equipped by with more experience. It’s a journey, a process, instead of moving serially thinking we’ll suddenly arrive at perfection. Enjoy the journey.

How many started playing piano later in life? On another platform, I’m amazed to see some late teens/early 20s asking if they're too late! I picked it up in my mid 50s. While I'll never be a concert pianist, I hope to be a competent player. I take pleasure from learning and practice. It’s also a great mental exercise to stay sharp later in life. It depends on ones goals/what they want to achieve. It’s only too late when you’re dead.
