It was a good day.

1) Had a breakthrough learning Chopin Prelude Op 28 #4. Bars 16-18 have been the bane of my practice. I can finally make it all the way through the piece hands together. Now lots of practice to polish it.

2) Took an easy 9 mile bike ride. It feels great to be back after not riding for over a year.

3) The house was hot so turned on the central air. Works great! Temp dropped quickly. So glad I had the old system replaced

My #PianoPractice habits haven't been great lately. I managed to stay focused and intentional over winter, building my repertoire. I felt guilty lately as practice time waned with spring chores outside and getting away for a few days. Yesterday I tried to get back into the groove and to my surprie, found I could play my pieces reasonably well, though still much room for improvement. It was encouraging and enjoyable. I stumbled across a new YouTube channel by Dr Lory Peters in which she addresses #PianoPractice. Having followed more than a few #PianoLearning channels over the years, I like her approach to practice. I find the videos well organized, well delivered and encouraging.
