A male Common Flameback (Dinopium javanense) spotted at Pasir Ris Park, Singapore, on 2 April 2022. You can see how it uses its feet and tail to support it while looking for food on the tree trunk.

A male Common Flameback (Dinopium javanense) spotted at Pasir Ris Park, Singapore, on 28 Aug 2021. Also got an under chin shot of it. The female was also there, but I couldn't get shots of it.
The Common Flameback is a common resident bird.

Got startled by a bird call next to me at the Pandan River, Singapore. Turned and was delighted to see this male Common Flameback woodpecker (Dinopium javanense) on the tree. It was busy looking for food and calling out and paid no heed to the excited photographer nearby. :-) Shots taken on 15 Oct 2019.

Shots of a Banded Woodpecker (Chrysophlegma miniaceum) spotted by chance at Windsor Nature Park, Singapore, on 7 Sept 2019. This was at a heavily shaded spot on the walking path and I was fortunate to find a spot through the branches that gave me a view of it.
An uncommon resident in Singapore.
