I got Pico 4 undergoing testing with the latest OS 5.7.1 onboard. This update has really improved hand tracking, showing significant improvements over the previous 5.6.0 version – it's quite the leap forward.

Now, if you're pondering the eternal Pico 4 Vs. Quest 2 debate, you'll want to get into the nitty-gritty of their specific features. One key aspect to dive into is hand tracking. It's worth mentioning that comparing Quest 2 and Pico 4 might be a tad uneven, mainly due to the fact that Meta has gone through multiple iterations of hand tracking. However, as things stand today, you can actually put them head-to-head and see which one truly nails it in terms of accurate hand tracking.

I am playing #Prey, a classic FPS shooter from 2006 on my #Pico4 headset in glorious #VirtualReality with 6DoF and motion controls. How was this made possible? Check out this diagram to see how the modding community in the #gaming space worked feverishly to port old games and enhance engines that resulted in a game made for Windows Vista! running in a standalone VR headset.

IDK how or why but the #Pico4 's silly little plastic controllers feel better and are less frustrating to use then my index finger tracking controllers.

I played for a while using Virtual Desktop to stream the game from my PC to my Pico 4 headset. You still need a beefy PC but it's great fun!
