It's a such an interesting and underrepresented area. Would love to read on Black 'branches' of English explored, compared in depth: #Patois, #AAVE, #PidginEnglish.
I mean Patois is one most distinct as an own language, but surely there must be much common in how African languages affected and merged with English and other coloniser's lingos.
