@mike805 I hadn't even thought of the potential for using ChatGPT to do #pigbutchering or #419 scams.

Some enterprising person is going to offer a SaaS ("Scamming as a Service") product that uses a #LLM-based chatbot to handle the tricky customer relationship right up until the magic moment where the sucker sends the money. They won't even need to recruit smart kids who can write acceptable English any more; ChatGPT can do it all, and better.

I continue to hear from victims of #pigbutchering scams. I just got an email this morning at 5am PT from a woman in San Francisco who says she lost $750k.

"I have been trying to get help from the authorities to no avail."

This is so heartbreaking.

Stumbled across 3 IPs with +900 "investment" sites.
Too much too look into, have only scratched the surface.
Mainly name variations of cryptocurrency, but also a "bank" or two inbetween. Based on various templates, with the usual bummers here and there (more or less "raw" templates with missing "polish", fake company certificates, spelling errors, missing internal/external links etc).

Ended up there when following some sites based on templates with standard text about hosted by DDOS-Guard. Me wonder.

Me also wonder how those templates with graphics like doll cartoons can trick anyone into "investing".
