Anybody else having issues with @pinafore not working properly? For the past couple days I regularly end up with empty pages or just the spinning loading symbol. #pinafore
As Pinafore is no longer being developed, I'm also open to recommendations for an alternative for a desktop web client (currently trying @sengi_app and @elk )

Вероятно вам хотелось бы иметь клиент Mastodon ещё и на компьютере (причём вне зависимости от операционной системы).
Веб-приложения (PWA) вполне могут быть выходом из этой ситуации.
По сути дела это браузер, показывающий только одну страницу.
Клиенты, написанные поверх Electron - практически то же самое.
Зачем засорять систему?
Проще воспользоваться своим любимым браузером и выбрать один из нижеприведённых веб-клиентов.
Сам браузер можно перевести в режим PWA для отображения сайтов веб-клиента и вашего инстанса (сервера) регистрации.

So who else is hanging on to the #Pinafore interface for their Mastodon/fedi needs, knowing it will never be updated? So far it's holding up really well for me, especially since I never planned to make a habit of editing posts anyway, though I expect it'll be left farther and farther behind and eventually be unusable. I just love its clean, simple interface and convenience functions so much 😭

@ainmosni @alper Have you all looked at #GoToSocial? It seems like a good alternative although still in alpha. But it checks most of the boxes here: written as a single binary in #go, can use #sqlite as a database and the media is either through s3 or the local file system.

It doesn't have a web interface, but it works with mastodon apps and web clients like #tusky and #pinafore.

The most annoying fact is I always need to turn off #uMatrix for websites such as #phanpy #elk #semaphore & #pinafore and #Twitter, since all of those websites has problems with working with having some non- #privacy #JavaScript scripts disabled. Those websites always refuse to work with having uMatrix enabled. That sucks, since #privacyMatters for me.
