Red looks a bit disturbing without her face. But look at that tiny coil in the 2nd picture. It's so fried the coil wrapper has changed color! These coils are gonna be fun to source. Also, I wonder if the drive transistor is shorted. #pinball #pinrepair

Well, I'll be damned. I threw in one of the 3D printed gears I made and would you look at that! Red's blabbering again!

This is still a test piece made of PLA, but in the end I managed to make a replacement part from scratch and learned a lot on the way.

I had a Heureca! moment with the randomly acting up Groot motor today. The motor started to malfunction at the same time as the lights started to flicker. I didn't immediately see the connection, but it's actually the last part of the chain, starting from Node board 8 and downstream from the point where a bad connector caused issues. #pinball #pinrepair
