In 2020, #RobertZemeckis and #GuillermoDelToro both collaborated on an adaptation of a #RoaldDahl book, The Witches. Two years later, they would BOTH go on to release remakes of #Pinnocchio

That’s wild right? Remakes have gotten to a point where we’re getting the same movie remade TWICE in one year. Zemeckis and Del Torro are both massively talented ppl so I don’t wanna dismiss these movies outhand as trash, I just think it’s something worth noting. @filmstudies

Savannah Steiner talks about how she animated a scene from #Pinnocchio. While commenting on a video of the scene. In it, you can see her hands and tools move the character as the clip moves in-time. Pretty cool to watch.

Really glad #TheSeaBeast at least got nominated. My pick would be #Pinnocchio, but I wouldnt be mad if #PussInBoots won too.

Why what is this? #Pinnocchio beat a Pixar movie? "What HAS our world come to?" But seriously, I'm just glad that Pixar willing every damn time is not a "rule" as much as it usually is. And it was Pinnocchio that won this year :blobcheer:. Congrats to #DelToro and the crew!
