Fourteen new armoured #ambulances for #Ukraine.

The ambulances are based on modified #Pinzgauer Vector vehicles.

Originally Pinzgauer's were built in #Austria. Now owned by #BAE, production of new vehicles stopped in 2009.

While these ambulances will be far superior to anything un-armoured, it is worth noting that the Vector's were withdrawn from #British military service due to "poor protection against blasts and the growing use of IEDs"

Was working away earlier when I heard a distinct engine sound outside. Whacking my Teams on Be Right Back I ran downstairs to find a Pinzgauer outside! So we scarpered off for a few laps of the neighbourhood, to the surprise and amusement of many pedestrians. It was AMAZING! 🤗
