Between Jackson and King...and Occidental and 2nd.
Pioneer Square....one of the most photogenic neighborhoods, with the coolest history and stories.
Surrounded by buildings built from 1889 to 1917.

I have always loved the small details on the old buildings in the neighborhood. Things we don't notice unless we stop and look up.
So many times and moments we notice and focus on the negative bits...the parts that make us sad, or annoyed because the city seems to be changing for the worse.
But remembering how difficult things were 123 years ago...puts those moments into perspective a bit more.

Pioneer Square is so pretty in the early morning hours of March, just before Spring begins to arrive.
There are days... In spite of all that is occurring in the world, the neighborhood appears as it did all those years ago, before Seattle had tech, or coffee....or a Super Bowl.
Bricks and stories...the seedy, colorful past that still hints at its existence. #seattle #pioneersquare

We continue to expand Title 42 under Biden and have children being denied their rights to seek asylum every day at our southern border. The hateful rhetoric continues from the right while the left continues to make too little progress and seems to care more about looking tough on immigration than keeping their election promises.
Shame on us all, we need to change as a society and stop these cruel acts.
