I like powerful smokes, but I also like a little sweetness, so I combine Gawith Hoggarth "Dark Flake" with Sutliff "507-c," more of the former than the latter, for a UK plug style power smoke. This one burns like wood, meaning that it smolders for hours down to the very bottom of the pipe, leaving that light grey dust that we all seek as the result of a thoroughly-smoked bowl.

New aromatic "royal blend" is flavorless, but wife likes the smell. English tobacco blend is very flavorful. My favorite is still the Virginia flake, but I'm running low on that.

Smoked some cheap $1 lil Indonesian cigar today before a pipe smoke later in the day.

There is a distinction between cigars and pipes. Cigars in my experience are bolder and lower maintenance than pipes. Unfortunately, these are not gr8 + the only game in the city, and this city is a flight away from my town, which is without cigars.

Tried a coin cut for the first time today (Peterson's De Luxe Navy Rolls), and on paper you'd think it'd be up my alley, I do love my flake tobacco.

I'm not entirely sure if it's my thing or not, but one thing i will say is that this particular version of this cut burns HOT. The room note is solid enough but I do not care for how quick this goes up.

It's the first time in a couple months that it's been consistently above 40 degrees such that I felt I could step out and have a pipe. Sure, I had to bundle up, but it was nice getting to have a chance to indulge while I wait for nicer weather to come about.
