Лесной конёк спозаранку уже собирает сухую траву, шерсть и корешки для постройки гнезда. Сел высоко на ветку осмотреться, не подглядывает ли кто затем, как он будет строить будущее жилище для своего потомства на опушке.
Песня этой птички звучит красиво, не хуже жаворонка. Обе они сроднились в моём сознании с нашей скромной лесостепью и стали её весенним голосом.

How special to see the Also a good time to remind folk that 🦃 like living just as much as we do and a for is a much kinder, compassionate thing to eat UNLESS the are neighbours who haven't been very nice too you. I nipped down to with a birder friend this morning as an Olive-backed Pipit had been seen last evening. I've never seen one before and after 15 minutes or so, one of the other birders there found it under an oak tree (where it favoured yesterday). Watched it for 45 minutes before I had to leave for work. Here is my best photo and a link to some video.

This bird's new to me: apparently it's an American pipit, also known as a buff-bellied pipit, a small ground-nesting insectivore. I spotted several of them walking around in the grass next to a bike path that's just been closed down, though I could see them from the sidewalk with a zoom lens.
