119 followers · 963 posts · Server techhub.socialI find it I'm using that #PeerTube is in that weird primordial state that sites like #YouTube and #Napster experienced in their early days, were you log in and it immediately starts offering you #pirated #movies that are still in theaters.
Obviously, things don't stay this way once they get to mainstream, partially because it's a barrier itself. It's a bit harder to regulate or go after stuff getting posted there though, especially since it's non-profit and decentralized, so I'm not sure what that's going to look like if it ever takes off as more than a video-hub for the microblogging side of the #fediverse.

Which also meant they were working with #IBM and able to sell them #DOS. The IBM #PC got #cloned heavily, which meant more computers to sell #DOS and #Windows on.
Literally all of Microsoft's business is built on the thing they hate: copying.
