Not to oversimplify, but I wonder how many of the guys that ran/will run into this today league-wide (assuming it's happening to more than the Sox) were away in the #wbc.

267 followers · 740 posts · Server heads.socialadding a #PitchClock to #baseball fundamentally alters the best and most essential thing about the game--its literal *timelessness,* the clocktick fading as pitcher and batter take one another's measure--and the reason the curs at MLB have done so is that, while fans might enjoy the actual 'game' of 'baseball,' the league is in the business of producing a live TV broadcast and couldn't care less about the game per se.
