It is so satisfying to study tree regeneration & thus potential forest futures. I started with #WhitePine regeneration research in Minnesota long ago & my grad students now work on #PitchPine, #RedSpruce, #SugarMaple, & forest understory ecology in eastern US & elsewhere.
