Used #Pitivi to edit some videos for the first time... was actually a pleasant experience.

My girls wanted to combine a bunch of clips of them doing gymnastics into a single video file, so they helped select the sections and then we labeled and titled them in #Pitivi. We even added some transition animations and they were really impressed by that.

It's nice when things Just Work (tm) on #linux, #opensource :]

WTF is wrong with computers?

Yesterday I rendered a video in #PiTiVi, and everything was fine. Today I opened the same project and just added a bit more video to it before rendering it again, without touching the settings at all, and the quality on todays video is a lot worse than yesterdays! How is this possible!? #VideoEditing

@graves501 Thank you for the suggestion! Will have a look! I used #resolve for a while and then tried #pitivi which is very limited in comparison. I must say that #olive looks promising too. Not sure what toolkit it uses.

Ich nutze @kdenlive und bin damit sehr zufrieden, ist aber ähnlich wie #shotcut recht komplex, es gibt aber auch eine gute Dokumentation

Etwas simpler wären @openshot oder #pitivi mit den beiden habe ich aber keine Erfahrung

We used #pitivi but the "play" is not image accurate. Audio waveform is missing for video/img sync, etc...

Und es ist halt auf Bildaufnahme optimiert, nicht auf Nachbereitung. Und kann keinen Ton.

Ich hatte ja schon ziemlich viel Recherche und Ausprobieren hinter mir vor dem Tröt:

- Alle ausprobierten Stop-Motion-Programme fokussieren den Aufnahmeprozess und arbeiten nicht mit Tonspuren.
- Alle Videoschnittprogramme können zwar Bilder in den Videostream aufnehmen, aber nur sehr eingeschränkt editieren…

Nutzte jetzt #Pitivi, was zumindest als Kompromiss funktioniert.

#pitivi is a free video editor with a beautiful and intuitive user interface, a clean codebase and a fantastic community.

But too many crashes and not enough customization makes this #gtk3 video editor unusable.
