Was just about to go setup a full #NAS on my #Pi when I remembered you can fileshare over #ssh. Found this https://github.com/winfsp/sshfs-win for my windows box whilst nemo does it for me on Linux Mint. Sooo sorted! I have a faux NAS accesible via my #PiVPN from anywhere. Its just for small files and an #Obsidian vault so not needing speed.💪

Nach einem Neustart von #PiVPN / #PiHole war keine Verbindung mehr möglich. Wird wohl darauf hinauslaufen, dass ich die beiden nochmal neu aufsetze 🤔

Heute morgen aufgewacht, wie üblich den #Wireguard|Tunnel ( #PiVPN ) neu gestartet, aber ich komm darüber nicht online 🤔 Der #Handshake klappt nicht. "Sending Handshake initiation. Handshake did not complete after 5 seconds."

#DynDNS beim Provider hat meine korrekte IP von heute morgen, daran liegts also nicht. In der Nacht kam ein neues Update von #FritzOS 7.56 - liegt es evtl. daran? 🤔

Wenn ja, wo suche/behebe ich den Fehler? 🧐

Satte up #PiVPN på min återfunna #RaspberryPi. Det tog 10 minuter. Varför? För att det var enkelt. Kommer säkert inte ha någon nytta av det.

Wer hier nutzt #piVPN und kann mir sagen welche WireGuard Version sie/er installiert hat? Offiziell wird gesagt, dass über apt aktualisiert wird, ist bei mir jedoch noch nicht geschehen. Bin momentan noch auf wireguard-tools 1.0.20210223-1

@eller82 Es gibt auch ein #PiVPN, das du direkt auf dem Pi laufen lassen kannst. Dann per Wireguard drauf und alles löppt durchs #pihole. Gibts Wireguard für IOS? @swamyp_kiwi Not commercial ones - but I recently set up #PiVPN on my Raspberry Pi at home (primarily so my daughter can watch Netflix from our IP address at least once every 30 days 🙄) - and it was surprisingly easy to get going.

There's free WireGuard VPN apps on Apple & Google app stores for mobile use & also Windows & Mac apps too.

If friend is in any way slightly technical, it's a great free-to-use solution for maintaining NZ IP address.

Sie können auch mit #PiVpn und #Wireguard ihr Smartphone vor den Daten Kraken schützen.

I set up a @WireGuardVPN using #PiVPN, and it works GREAT from my Android phone (mobile data). However, if I import the conf file and connect from my Fedora laptop (mobile hotspot through phone), no data routes, not even pings by IP. Any experts out there? :)

These are the steps I take to finding something I know I have purchased already:

#1) Search everywhere
#1a) Repeat once. Add audible grumbling to second pass.
#2) Order replacement
#3) Replacement ships
#4) Find original. Ugh.
#5) Convince self that having a backup I won't remember where it is will be helpful in the future.

Debating on moving my #Tor snowflake proxy off my main home server and onto our #raspberrypi server that's pulling #Pihole and #PiVPN duties. Our Pi4 is basically idling, and though I have the snowflake proxy running under its own separate username and everything, it still makes more sense to offload that job to a machine that doesn't contain personal documents, and it would also free up CPU cycles on the main server for Plex encoding. Seems like a good job for the little guy.
