@roygreenhilt one of the things I see a lot on #fediverse apps is a copy-cat GUI and method of the popular regular app.

This makes sense for some apps, but for others, this is damaging.

For example, in my opinion #pixekfed would benefit from looking different than Instagram. Instagram problem (one of many) is that it's trying too many things and ends up looking like bloated feed from Facebook (I know, what a shock). A good photography-based social app needs to look different.
