Just successfully replaced the battery in my Pixel 4 XL using the #iFixit kit! The process went smoothly overall, although I accidentally messed up the battery adhesive and ended up not using it. The seal glue was almost perfectly aligned, but not quite. Despite that, everything is functioning perfectly now. Overall, I'm pleased with this experience, although I wish iFixit's website had better instructions for reassembly and adhesives. Their tools are excellent though. Impressed that they still stock parts for discontinued products.

There's so much I prefer to do on my #Pixel4XL over my #Pixel6Pro and the only reason for that is #faceunlock. It's why everyday I look for a viable alternative to #SolidExplorer because it doesn't use the proper biometrics API and thus doesn't support face unlock. I was hopeful about #MaterialFiles, but it's had one update since I installed it. Any recommendations for #opensource #Android file managers with network storage support appreciated.

If you have a Pixel 4 or 4xl, watch out. Google pumped up the radiation on Pixel 4 compared to iPhone's faceID to 'beat' Apple. Turn it off unless you like microwaving your eyes and face 🤦🏻. iPhones are safer, use longer wavelengths and less total radiation per unlock. #pixel4xl #pixel4

I need the knowledge of the #pixel4xl #community. We had feature drop from @google yesterday in #germany. I was very hyped for the new #astrophotography #video function. After the system update of #android the play store doesn't offer me new updates for the camera or photos apps... But the feature is still missing. The encrypted photo folder is missing too. Does anyone know what version of the 2 apps I would need and how to get that working? Thank you in advance. #help needed.
