Finally back to my #Pixel5a after a week using my old #Nokia 6.1 — it's like I'm driving a racecar! Yikes.

I think I'm going to stick with #Fedilab on #Android for my #Pixel5a. I really like how you can manage multiple accounts much easier than on, uh, the Other Site.

case in point: i just paired my new #kubuntu install to my #pixel5a in less than 10 seconds. now i'm using my phone as a mouse. hell yeah.

My phone died when I was at #RSNA
1) A 15mo old phone just stoped working, screen unresponsive. The environmental cost is unacceptable. Looking at you, #google #pixel5a
2) it's incredible what our phones have become: digital keys, gps, maps, taxi hauler, boarding pass, payment system, camera, restaurant referral, ... And how the sudden absence of all these functionalities makes city life so complicated, especially away from home.

One thing that I always miss from my #iPhone 12 Pro Max going to the #Pixel5a is the camera and the camera apps. I currently use #OpenCamera on #GrapheneOS, and it leaves a lot to be desired. The image quality is just only slightly better than GrapheneOS's camera app. I feel like GraheneOS's camera API just isn't properly implemented for my device compared to #CalyxOS, but I like the more hardened nature of GrapheneOS.
