New #openssl error for me yesterday… I've issued some forward-dated not valid for a few weeks) certificates from a private CA and wanted to created #pkcs12 bundles for them.
"openssl pkcs12" doesn't seem to want to create them:
"Error certificate is not yet valid getting chain."
It's creating the "already valid" bundles fine, just not the future ones.
Any ideas?
We are finalizing a new release of our @youid browser extension that includes a major new #LinkInBio feature that helps users acquire more control over their digital profile and associated #Identity #Authenticity.
Items contained in the ZIP bundle generated by YouID include: an #HTML based profile doc, #PKCS12 credentials bundle, #vCard, #QRCode, etc.
Example: https://id.myopenlink.net/public_home/KingsleyUyiIdehen/Public/index.html
#linkinbio #identity #authenticity #html #pkcs12 #vcard #qrcode #ssi #youid #netid #privacy #web30 #linkeddata #semanticweb
I was forced to use the Swedish #BankID system today, and was reminded of what an insult to the very concept of a democratic society it is.
Having an electronic ID system to interact with government services online seems like a good idea, and could have been easily and interoperably implemented by a government CA handing out #PKCS12 certificates. But instead we get a private company handing out opaque blobs that can only be used by a proprietary application running on Windows.
