Looks like is quite happy to generate the file for me… and is then happy to load it. Wondering if this is a bug or a feature…!

New error for me yesterday… I've issued some forward-dated not valid for a few weeks) certificates from a private CA and wanted to created bundles for them.

"openssl pkcs12" doesn't seem to want to create them:

"Error certificate is not yet valid getting chain."

It's creating the "already valid" bundles fine, just not the future ones.

Any ideas?

I was forced to use the Swedish system today, and was reminded of what an insult to the very concept of a democratic society it is.

Having an electronic ID system to interact with government services online seems like a good idea, and could have been easily and interoperably implemented by a government CA handing out certificates. But instead we get a private company handing out opaque blobs that can only be used by a proprietary application running on Windows.
