thinking through the sort of long-lived feature request for #placemark to support searching/filtering features. options are a little weird:

https://github.com/sanity-io/groq - custom syntax for a query language, developed by sanity, or jmespath, jsoniq. or the mongodb query language? and as a freeform text input with custom syntax, or a "query builder" form? hard to nail this one down.

i think it'll be useful for folks with lots of maps! got a list of end-of-year improvements to knock out and this was one of them.

My bolivia.kml and amazon_geoglyphs.kml files have survey folders outlining areas I've worked on. The references folder leads to researchers and publications in the area. Some site #placemark balloons #geolocate the articles.

I miss Panoramio.com, however Web Archive backed up the domain.
When Google deleted Panoramio I suddenly had 5,000 dead photo links in #placemark files.
I've restored "France - Ancient Monuments KML" - now 800 image embeds.
