It’s the start of #RoyalAscot today so I had to have a crack at the #Placepot, didn’t I? 🤞🏻

A reminder of my #placepot bet today at York. Sadly the jockey fell off her horse in race one, an unusual occurrence on the flat! Horse and rider are ok though, thankfully. Even more sadly, the other five selections all came in! Payout was £75 which would have been good.
Never mind, at least a quarter of my money goes back into the sport. Always next time.

After two days where sleep has been at a premium, I finally feel rested enough to make sensible decisions about which horses to back on a #placepot. There’s a quarter of a million pound pool at York races today so here’s my £1 contribution to it which hopefully will pay dividends.

Generally my mornings this week are being spent just enjoying the nice weather and floating round in the forest, which is calming me no end. Today was no exception. Heard there was a big race meeting on this evening so put down another pound on a placepot. The winning dividend was nearly £250 but sadly none of it went to me as two of my selections failed to impress.
