New on Instagram: #PlanesTrainsAutomobilesandROCK In what I believe is only my 3rd and 4th trip in my own car for out of town concerts this year, this past weekend was a quick down and back to Huntsville for @umphreysncgee at @marsmusichall on Thursday and another quick trip to Chattanooga for Umphrey's at @thesignaltn, both shows sandwiching a trip to @GEODISpark for @gunsnroses with special guest @CarrieUnderwood.
I could not ask for better weather or a better time at these shows! While it did rain during GnR, we were luckily under the awning and roof of the club area so we stayed perfectly dry!

Seeing four excellent shows at @the_stone_pony, @piersixpavilion, @saranacbrewery and @soundcheck_studios made the trip even better! Duane Trucks(@dtrucksdrums) was great behind the kit while @krismyersdrums is recovering from shoulder surgery.

New on Instagram: #PlanesTrainsAutomobilesandROCK Friday night, thanks to storms around @flynashville, my @allegiant flight to @flygrford was about 4 hours delayed but arrived safely for Sunday's @umphreysmcgee show at the picturesque @meijergardens in Grand Rapids, MI. It was an absolutely phenomenal show with a bunch of great people. Worked from the hotel and airport on Monday until my flight back to Nashville, which was unfortunately about 30 minutes delayed due to maintenance issues. Friday's flight path actually took us over Daviess County, KY but the weather meant I couldn't see it from the air.

New on Instagram: #PlanesTrainsAutomobilesandROCK landed safely at @flynashville from @flylogan after my first ever @jetblue flight, and my first ever flight on an @airbus A220. I love the windows on this airplane! They're huge and placed in a spot where I can look out the window without having to bend down like on a Boeing 737 or even an Airbus A319/320/321 variant. New on Instagram: #PlanesTrainsAutomobilesandROCK this past weekend's trip to Dallas for @umphreysmcgee was a quick one, but well with it! @spiritairlines got me from @flynashville to @flymco and then I met up with my friend @um___gitv on our way to @dfwairport.
Flying from Orlando to Dallas, I crossed something off my never done before list: I flew over a large body of water for an extended time, with approximately 1 hour flight time over the Gulf of Mexico. I had previously flown over the Atlantic Ocean, most recently coming back from @fllairport, but only for a few minutes.
Umphrey's McGee put on another great show, starting things off with a fitting "Get In The Van" and ending with a cover of the @officialallmanbrothers "Jessica".
Immediately after the show, we made it over to @innout and then back to DFW. A few hours of waiting, then in the air, back through Orlando, then to Nashville where we came in and flew over the @nashvillesuperspeedway! https://instagr.am/p/CrclNWGsVtd/

Took @soundtransit from my hotel downtown to the @amtrak King Street Station where I caught the #11 Coast Starlight from Seattle to Portland Union Station. I took the train from my hotel to the Mall of America, which was only a few stops further than the airport. I'm glad I got to check that off my list, but I wish I had brought my roller blades.
This afternoon's flight on Sun Country wasn't too bad but it seemed like there was more space in the window seat I got on Thursday night than today so the great flight attendant crew allowed me to move back to a completely empty row mid flight, somewhere over Iowa (they have bad corn).

Once at LaGuardia, hopped on a @Southwestair flight ✈️ to St. Louis and then another to Nashville (which was unfortunately delayed by 90 minutes) and the #roadto100shows has come to an end.
