Of course brushes for the new WP900 aren’t compatible with my “old” WP861 from 2021 certainly because toothbrush technology … just evolves so fast !

Use: 2 months continously twice per day (about 120 uses total till product end life of the exchangable part)

Right: Random children's toothbrush
Material: 100% virgin plastic
Use: 1 month, every other day approx., once a day (about 15 uses total until end life)

In the "Planned obsolescence is real" category. T/S my dead pen display last night found that a $0.20 dc-dc switching regulator failed and took out the board. This part is under rated for the current demand and will always fail with time. Cost of the right part is less than the incorrect one at $0.17. so its not about the cost of doing it right. Of course MFG does not sell the board that failed. #RightToRepair

The second #PS4 that I took in from the recycling yard last Saturday is working perfectly.
No repairs needed, just cleaned it.
Case had some cracks that I glued and are currently curing.
Seriously, what is wrong with people?

I bought my parents their first microwave, which lasted nearly 40 years. Mum would absolutely flog it every Christmas and burn out the bulb, but otherwise it just worked.
When it died, I bought a cheapie Kmart one, which lasted 2 years. 😢
When I replaced it, I bought 2 - to have one on hand when the first one predictably dies.

Agree 100%. Don't buy new cars but try to maintain and repair the old ones.

It wouldn't surprise us if manufacturers are trying to increase the number of #carAccidents again (from distraction) to exceed the number of accidents from #autonomousVehicles, to increase sales of the autonomous variety.

Apparently #selfDrivingVehicle accidents are already being suppressed, so the net gain for society is likely to be zero, with #plannedObsolesence boosting turnover and waste for good measure.
