At last evening's meeting, the Santa Cruz City Planning Commission certified the Rail Trail Segments 8 & 9 Environmental Impact Report and Declaration of Overriding Considerations, in effect approving the destruction of over 400 trees on the 1.6 mile section of the rail trail corridor project.
