I love that "just finishing adjusting the pH of the nutrient solution" feeling. It's 5 gallons of liquid dreams I tell you, liquid dreams.

@conradhackett Why are #trees categorized as physical "#things"? Even #scientists know that they belong to the kingdom #Plantae and are living beings and #multicellular #organisms (besides other #life forms and kingdoms such as #animals or #fungi).
It's a bit weird that category of "New Age". Also because they apparently did not interview indigenous people.

A fruit of the Nipah Palm (Nypa fruticans) spotted at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, Singapore, on 2 October 2022. Made me think about getting some Attap chee (a local sweet made from the fruit) for dessert. 🙂
The Nipah Palm is a palm adapted for living in mangroves.

Always nice to see a pitcher plant in the wild (as opposed to seeing them planted by garden shops). This is a Slender Pitcher-Plant (Nepenthes gracilis), spotted while walking along the boardwalk at MacRichie Reservoir Park, Singapore, on 27 May 2022.

A fruiting Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) tree spotted in Windsor Nature Park, Singapore, on 9 July 2021. The fruits are for the park's inhabitants, so I didn't pluck any. 🙂
Jackfruit is a local plant and produces some of the largest fruits. It contains lots of fleshy seeds that locals like to eat. I also find them delicious.
