Because this plant has so many benefits, it will now be a significant ingredient for them to thrive in the spring.
As much as mint compost is a thing I will develop a plantain compost. Because plantain is edible for us, it will be a perfect amendment for the kitchen garden.
Don't kill your weeds, #compost them.

We ate there last time. Parking was a bitch. I saw they were well setup for takeout. They opened when the pandemic was worse. Tucson is known for its #Sonoran style Mexican food and it’s really good, but it’s nice to have a change of pace.
The #Pineapple #Guacamole served with #Plantain chips was nice.

Last night’s dinner in #puertovallarta was at Qué Bolá #quebola, a newish #cuban restaurant. Amazing food and service. Appetizer (first pic) was #plantain fritters topped with shrimp. Entree was a rice frittata with shrimp.

In my childhood I dreamed of camcorder I could to make the exceptional films. I looked at small plants, pieces of earth, pools through lens, but saw big trees, rocks, lakes.
Now I have all necessary equipment that to make this ideas in reality, but don't have a time for it. Let this plantain which came up between slabs will be the plant from other universe. Let our imagination get going.

A l'intérieur, dans la #jardinière, la #patatedouce donne de plus en plus en #feuilles. Le but est de les manger 😉 Pour le moment, je les laisse encore se développer. Le plant a atteint la hauteur du #plantain présent sur la photo. Il est très dur et ne fleurit pas. Il a plusieurs années.

Eh bien ça peut être joli une colonie de #plantain : le plantain moyen (Plantago media) fleurit rose. Comme le grand et le lancéolé, ses jeunes feuilles se mangent en salades (goût champignon), les vieilles en soupe. Source de protéines et vitamine C [Couplan & Styner, Plantes sauvages comestibles et toxiques, delachaux et niestlé - 1994].
Feuille épluchée (enlever la "peau" du dessous) pour désinfecter et cicatriser une coupure ou à frotter sur une piqûre d'insecte.
