Wild carrot or Queen Anne's lace?
Google lens told me, but not sure 🤔

Near the river. I don't know what it is.

@wrensnow Fuzzy bumble bees! So cute.
The yellow flower might be birdsfoot trefoil. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_corniculatus
These white umbellifers are usually called queen anne's lace. Wikipedia tells me that there are three species that share that common name.

Earlier this summer, as I was tending the garden, I saw a row of frilly baby plants. I did not recognize them, but since they were in a row, I assumed they were planted on purpose.
I recalled trying to plant chervil multiple times in the past -without success. I assumed these were chervil seeds that somehow had survived and finally found the right conditions to sprout.
I took care of them, anticipating finally being able to try the herb! It did surprise me how slowly they were growing (for an herb). And that they produced flowering buds rather quickly. And, they didn't smell very "herby"? But I'd never seen chervil, so I kept waiting (and no, it didn't occur to me to look for an image of the chervil plant).
Eventually I decided to cut some leaves and use them at dinner. But something wasn't right and I ended up tossing them.
The plant looked familiar, though, and I eventually understood... it was a marigold plant. I had also tried growing marigold since my son wanted more flowers in the garden. But since I had never planted marigold, I didn't know what to look for either!
Anyway, once the flower buds developed a bit further, it was clear it was a french marigold 😅
Son is happy as he has now a few more additions to his butterfly garden.
I found this plant in a filed at the head of lake Vyrnwy. Could it be lesser burdock (Arctium minus)? #WildFlowerHour #PlantID
Ok #plantID folks, is this #horseweed, tarragon, or something else? Apparently horseweed kind of tastes like tarragon, so even if I were willing to eat it, that may not help. https://foragingguru.com/erigeron-canadensis/ PlantNet isn't giving me a probability over 50% for either, but I'm leaning towards horseweed since it's growing in a crack in the sidewalk. iNaturalist seems to favor horseweed.
Web searches yield no results for distinguishing the two plants. Am I the only idiot who can't tell the difference?
Hey @gardening @plants are these two plants both culinary #ginger?
I remember planting ginger around there a couple of times, and digging up and reburying a couple of unfortunate rhizomes several times. But that bed also had potatoes a couple of years ago. Is the purple flower a variant of the white flower ginger? What do we think?
#plantID
Poor photo, but can anyone please help plant ID these purple wild flowers? They come in lavender and white I believe too.
