I was surprised to find out that Alpro are owned by massive dairy corporation Danone. Not great if we're trying to reduce the environmental impact of dairy.

Just tried the potato drink I bought the other day (the one with the dubious name DUG). Not too bad. Reminds me of Plant Milk (Plamil) from eons ago. These have a March end date hence the cheap price.

Most of the recipes require cooked rice, water, and lots of blending. So I did that. And it tastes like rice. It's nothing like milk, and in tea its horrible. So that one is a no from me. Still, noting ventured, nothing gained. #veganuary #PlantMIlk

Anyway, to increase my vegan recipe repertoire, I've made soya milk (not awful, not my favourite thing), oat milk (minging) and of course I'm familiar with coconut milk. I'm not especially taken with almond and hazel nut milks I've tried. Are there any others I should try making, that are nice? #milk #PlantMilk #Veganuary #Vegan

I prefer to make my own food from scratch (including #tofu, #PlantMilk, etc.) just because it's fun, but I'm not really set up for that at the moment, so I can heartily recommend Beyond ground sausage if you want something pre-made. Having some #tacos with that right now and am suitably impressed.

Apparently yesterday was #WorldPlantMilkDay. Just gotta say, #plantmilk is delicious! Silk brand milks are good, but (low-fat ) Oatly oat milk is our new favorite. 😋
