Got a tip that the grounds crew at a local school district was going to spray herbicide and kill a patch of milkweed, joe pye weed, and other native wildflowers. So we took shovels and tried to save some to plant in our yard.

Ah! So it did really well to stay alive in that office. Nice that someone recognised a good plant and took it home to care for it.

I feel like that when I see dying potted plants on people's front porches in suburban #Australia. Feel like leaving a note, "I'll leave you something better to put in this pot if you'll let me take this plant home and nurse it back to health."

A year ago I #liberated three very sad and nearly dead #ChristmasCactus that had been left outside to die. One of them didnt survive, but look at the other two! I'm quite proud of them.
