Today’s morning doodle: I made a market bag out of #plarn to ascertain if I really do hate working with plarn or if I was just undergaguing and torturing my joints. Damn it. This was fun to make. I am not getting that craft storage space back after all. Oh well. I guess today is a plarn organizing day. #crochet #upcycle
The larger crocheted basket with two handles made with chunky Plarn (Plastic Yarn) made out of old Kroger grocery bags. The pattern is Chunky Crochet Basket by Elizabeth Pardue as featured in the Crochet in Color blog.
This and the smaller basket will go along with the orange-and-white washcloths to make a complete gift-set for when I need a random gift (housewarming, bat mitzvah, someone gave me a gift I didn't expect, etc.)
Acabo de descubrir que existe el #plarn y ha explotado mi mente. Ahora ya sé que hacer con tantas bolsas de plastico!
I love the idea of PLARN (yarn made from discarded plastic). What is not to love about making something useful from trash? I collected plastic, organized it by weight and color, and wound it on spindles. Here is the thing: crocheting with plarn legit injures my hands. I have to exert such of pressure on the hook. I don’t want to give up plarn, but crochet & loom knitting were not cutting it. Do you all have ideas? What can I make with PLARN w/out destroying my stupid meat claws? #Crochet #Plarn
#introduction - i guess I'll keep doing this?
I read/listen to things abt #cults & #urbanlegends - I'm curious about #belief but not looking for #religion. (I'm #exchurchofchrist deconstructed/ #formerchristian). I do read about religion. A lot.
Other stuff:
#crossstitch - a bit stuck on a pattern of #godzilla.
#crochet - with yarn - i used #plarn for a bit to make tote bags out of used plastic bags
#drawing (badly)
#postcrossing - i like to send/ receive mail from strangers
