After building the dog house we found a kite in the small shed. The kids played with it for an hour, they absolutely loved it.

Overall it was a good day. Me and the kids build and played, Robbert cleaned out the shed. Afterwards we had a warm(!) shower! What a treat!

Today I'll finish writing my essay titled "Why ludic matters." In the paper, I look at definitions of #play, #playfulness and use them to define #ludic as "being playful." The paper concludes in explaining why being ludic actually matters, in this, the ludic century.

Expect some philosophy, education, pedagogy, and heaps of subjective opinion..!

Three Good Things, Sunday edition:

1. This platform. Specifically, how it has flexed to accommodate the influx. And managed to maintain its idiosyncratic sense of playfulness that was initially part of its attraction to me. Filters help!
2. That we did not get 5’ of snow Iike upstate NY did. It’s so cold all of a sudden (with the wind chill) that I could imagine it. I’ll take clear skies! NJ is beautiful in this season.
3. That I had a good writing stretch today, interwoven with research, family and other plans. 10 days left of Nanowrimo and I think I’ll get the basic story hammered out (novel number 3 in trilogy).
