#chesscom made a bid for ownership of the #playmagnus group today. not sure what that means? well, here's the breakdown.

magnus carlsen is famous chess man. gets many dollaroos. has comoany with his name on it and some ownership. starts buying out a bunch of chess services and publications (#chessable and new in chess) and has his iwn chess server in #chess24 in 2021. realizes that all that acquiring was actually kinda expensive and playmagnus is running low on money. in that regard, this move is not surprising.
