Oh agent of the FBI
For the oligarch, you did plea
But the charges you faced
Were a harsh disgrace
Your fate set the course for New York's sea

Hunter Biden Please deal was off, now back on again:

The plea deal now provides language that the DOJ, McCabe and Garland can use to shield themselves from answering question and being held accountable for the double standards. Because of an ongoing investigation.

It's so transparently pathetic.

AG did no favors in this case by leaving the original Trump-appointed prosecutor on the case, approving a on charges that for anyone else would likely have resulted in no being brought. opened the investigation into Hunter Biden 5yrs ago —which is a remarkably long time to investigate and prosecute a case involving about $1.2 million and a false statement about being a user. thedailybeast.com/attorney-gen

How government’s excessive reliance on plea deals can undermine justice

Last year, 98.3 percent of federal criminal convictions, and about 95 percent in the states, resulted from bargained guilty pleas. Why? To a significant extent, coercion.

Eighteen percent of the more than 2,000 persons known to have been exonerated of crimes, according to the Innocence Project, of 375 convicts exonerated by DNA evidence, 11.7 percent had pleaded guilty.
