So I just got back from a local burger place to get my wife and MIl some milkshakes - I get up to the counter and exchange pleasantries with the cashier and then...
"I need 3 large shakes, please"
"We only have one size"
that should have been my first warning that she didn't understand what i said
"Oh OK that's fine"
"First things first - do you want onions on all 3?"
(in the distance, a record scratch sound effect plays as my brain just stops for about 3 seconds)
"I'm sorry...but on a shake?!?"
"OOOOHHH I thought you said 3 steaks"
I can just imagine if I handed my wife a large Vidalia milkshake - it would not have ended well
