8yo: When it was time to say the #PledgeOfAllegiance, I whistled it instead of saying it.
(I tried to have the “if you’re forced by social pressure into saying a pledge it’s meaningless” talk but he didn’t care at the moment.)

Why did we think that? I can’t find any evidence it ever happened. Anyone else remember anything about this?

Apart from the U.S., in which countries do schools celebrate a pledge of allegiance or something similar?
Here in Italy we don't have anything like that in schools and I'm pretty sure it's roughly the same throughout Europe. Or not?
