Years ago, I was very vocal about #PleromaFE sucking. #Pleroma stans protested, and I said okay, and refused to use it. Years later, nobody uses #Pleroma, even though it's probably one of the best backends and has multiple active forks.

The lesson is, if you build it, they will come, but only if it's relatively sexy

It irks me that there are no proper mobile clients for #Akkoma or #Soapbox.

While #Pleroma users do have #Husky, its support is for #Pleroma, not #Akkoma or #Soapbox, and both have left both #Husky and #Pleroma in the dust in terms of features.

Of course a big reason why this is the case is because #Soapbox is probably one of the best clients out there, including mobile apps, while #Akkoma runs on #PleromaFE AFAIK, which is generally for people who don't care very much about their frontend at all.
