Another month went by, here are my top 25 listened to #Music artists in August 2023 according to #PlexAmp 🎶

Leaving my arcade setup woes for now. Going through my Google takeouts to fetch some Backwoods/Wood's End albums that aren't available on Spotify, and from what I've heard, never will. I prefer #PlexAmp anyways

I would have thought that #Plexamp would reignite interest in integrating Mixramp or at least developing it further...

Final parts came in - spent a few minutes on the drill press to mount the RCA jacks for a cleaner look…

#raspberrypi #plexamp streamer is now complete! There is a large hole cut into the bottom of the case from where I hoped I could connect directly to the pi…but the panel mount RCA plugs and a short internal cable did the trick. I have an old pi downstairs connected to a USB DAC, might have to take what I’ve learned and just build another one for downstairs beer and jigsaw puzzle jamming 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yo todo el día, que requiera concentración, o estoy en llamadas.. El cerebro no me da para más que música clásica. Ahí es todo el día, alta calidad, sin anuncios ni interrumpciones.

Un paso más adelante, cualquier música instrumental. Como bandas sonoras de juegos como has mencionado.

Y al contrario, por la mañana si el café no me basta para despertarme escucho cualquier disco de death metal de mi amplia colección.

No uso #spotify sino #lidarr, y lo que no encuentre el lo bajo "a mano" y lo escucho todo a través de #plexamp

plexamp's smart shuffle is pretty good now that i have a decent amount of music. songs from different artists blending seamlessly into one another. 🧠

#raspberrypi #plexamp streamer is almost complete. Waiting on a few cosmetic parts like a USB extender (I had to mount the pi in the alternate mounting slot to fit RCA jacks onto the DAC hat) and panel mount RCA connectors for a more polished look, and to not have to open it up to connect/disconnect a keyboard.

Next steps after that are to look into kiosk mode and get an on screen keyboard working. Then I might have to build another one for downstairs 😅

Recuerdo cuando salió hace 6 años que muchos decían que sería el nuevo #Winamp.

Playing with #plexamp before hopping in the shower, and I just had a sense memory of my first experience “playing” with sound.

The EQ section of my dad’s 70s/80s era hi-fi system. I would have been 3 or 4yo. My dad getting very annoyed at me adjusting any of these dials. 😂

I bought a lifetime subscription to Plex to help support them, and I hope other folks have as well because they provide a great service and delightful software.

While yes, there are alternatives to the self-hosted media server space (and some decent open source ones, I’m told!), Plex has consistently been the easiest for me to set up and have non-tech folks use.

I also hope Plexamp remains unscathed because I love it so much more than other music apps!
