Wow, #PlexMediaServer - did you REALLY create 67,397 files and a total of 19.7gb of metadata on my machine? NOTHING needs to create 67,000 files as metadata. Seriously. Get it into SQLite or something.

Since @overcastfm doesn't have an API to upload files, I setup a private podcast feed which allows me to upload files in an automated way. (https://github.com/parkr/mypod)

My little linode is starting to fill up (and just got more expensive, ugh). Are there any good #Plex plug-ins for podcast-like behavior? Ideally it could even write a valid podcast feed that Overcast could read and ingest, but #PlexMediaServer would be used for the storage & organization.

And, three days later, I'm back on Fedora. For some reason, I was totally unable to get Plex Media Server running. It seemed to have a permissions issue with creating libraries, even though they were exactly the same files that my Fedora config used.

Echt sehr schade, was über die Jahre mit dem #PlexMediaServer passiert ist. Mein Server läuft gar nicht, das fällt aber auf den ersten Blick in der App gar nicht auf. Alles voll mit Film-Covern von Filmen, die ich gar nicht habe. Mich haben sie nach über 11 Jahren Plex Pass jetzt als zahlenden Kunden verloren.

Trying to turn an old desktop into a home server. Was running Mint #linux but wondering what #distro might be best for this purpose. Hoping to run #homeassistant until I decide to get a #raspberrypi for this purpose. Also considering something like a #plexmediaserver.

Thinking about installing #Plex or #jellyfin on a #RaspberryPi as media server. The client options seem very limited for jellyfin (especially apps for TVs), but to use the nice #PlexAmp for the #plexmediaserver as a mobile music player requires a paid subscription... Well after troubleshooting my #plexmediaserver because I suddenly wasn’t authorized to access my own library, it just started working. Wish I could say it was due to a configuration change, but I guess the gremlins just decided to leave.

@TexJoachim Nice, let me know if you find something. I'd like to try to switch out my #raspberrtpi server with something better someday. Right now it's my mini web server, #PiHole, #nodered home automation server, and I'm thinking of home brewing a little security cam for our front porch. Bonus points if it can run #plexmediaserver
