I just had one terrifying thought. A love story over several lifetimes is beautiful, right? But what if you're doomed to have cycle upon cycle of soul grating nagging and bickering - each one worse than the previous one?

Frankly, I'd rather go to (christian) hell.

OTH the love story that breaks that pattern must be something special. If it's not written yet I hope someone picks up the idea.
