In June, Canada passed a law requiring major tech platforms to pay a small fee when they host news on their platforms, to compensate the journalistic outlets that produced it.

A similar is advancing in California.

In response, Google and Facebook say they will ban news from their services if these laws go into effect.

You could say the same thing about a large part of the Asian Art Museum's collection of Asian art & artifacts which as "donated" by Avery Brundage to the DeYoung Museum.

Brundage was a Nazi collaborator who supported Germany's hosting of the 1936 Olympics and long served as the head of the US Olympic Committee after that. Jesse Owens ruined Hitler's plans to promote Aryan superiority at those games.

Brundage's collection was on exhibit in a special "Asian" wing of DeYoung Museum for decades before it was later transferred to the Asian Art Museum at the site of the original Main Library building in Civic Center.
