I’m using #Pluralsight to study up on the topics but I welcome any tips or tricks you may have.

Great for a rainy day. My interview with Tony Holmes from Pluralsight gives some good ideas about how to recruit and retain employees even when they are difficult to find. I've talked to enough organizations, and worked in this area myself enough to know that these ideas aren't theoretical - they work.

I also quite like how the Pluralsight developer productivity study built on our "Getting What You Measure" paper, rephrasing our common metric pitfalls as:

1. We tend to measure things without enough context.
2. We're concerned about the appearance, but not really the meaning of what we've measured.
3. We have not measured enough things.
4. We measure many things, but they do not feel related to each other.

Hmm, why have I received a very scammy-looking email from something calling itself Seamless.AI to an email address I uniquely gave to #Pluralsight some years ago? Have Pluralsight been hacked, or have they sold my data to other companies?

OMG! I have a morning of Pluralsight training lined up for today and found that I'd run out of coffee 😲 . Situation somewhat mitigated by these bad boys and an order to https://unionroasted.com.

They roast their coffee by hand and to order - mine will be roasted at some point today I expect. Unless you roast it yourself, it's hard to get fresher than that.

StackOverflow, Mastodon, Twitter, and Reddit tech communities show me a combination of disgust and despair when dealing with the configuration and administration of SharePoint.

But end user training material and discussions are somewhat positive? A big disconnect between the two groups.

Laying off employees less than two weeks before Christmas is classless enough. But to additionally violate the WARN Act when doing so? #PluralSight earned a spot on my "do not work" list from that. They only offered 2-4 weeks of severance, not the minimum 60 days of either notice or severance. #Utah #layoffs
