I'm confused. As someone who has 2 close family members with #DissociativeIdentityDisorder previously called #MultiplePersonalityDisorder Where did all of these people with #plural in their bios come from recently? Is this a common perception of other #MentalIllness too? Is it a lifestyle thing? Are people just more comfortable to be seen now?

As mentioned above and on all my socials, I'm part of a very large DID collective, meaning that there are several different systems all in this same body that we have to share.

Our body age differs from individual headmate's ages, which for us ranges from infant to ageless.

Bodily we are early 30's, I (Hare) am 19 and have been for 2 years now, and most of us are younger than our body age. ✨

Fatigue is absolutely kicking our ass today.

Haven't managed to eat despite needing to (lack of appetite, not food this time), can't focus, all we can think about is how badly our body wants more sleep.

Excited and happy to have reconnected with a friend recently, and it gives us more hope that things can actually change for the better.

Need to clean, pack, and crowdfund for this move, but it's taking everything in us just to stay awake right now. 😩

I'm exhausted, I was I think 16 (me, Hare, Not our body) when I started having to crowdfund regularly to help our family survive, and have been the main fronter for years now.

All I'm going to say is telling someone who's too ill & disabled to work to "get a job" is not only NOT helpful, it's rude and ableist as fuck.

When we were able to work more traditional jobs, usually in retail, I LOVED it!

I like people, I'm good selling things I like (which applied to most of our jobs), and I take pride in providing for my family and keeping my loved ones safe.

Hang tight now because this is where it might sound weird if you're not very familiar with DID & plurality.

I'm pretty sure *I* (Hare) have been around most of our/the body's life.

I can't pinpoint exactly when I came into existence, and I don't want to try to figure it out yet because that would involve sorting through a LOT of trauma that we Cannot handle right now.

The body is 30, I'm seemingly stuck at 19 for some reason (or at least have been for the last 2 years), and most of us Chasms (our collective name) are younger than me.

DID is weird sometimes... 🙃

That's 3 decades of trauma & illness that we're trying to manage while also unhoused and without proper medical care or therapy.

We're polyfragmented which basically just means there's a whole heckin' lot of us in this broken little body.

🧚 Sí, hay muchos sistemas cuyas pluralidades se dan en el marco de algún trastorno mental. Por ejemplo: Trastorno de Identidad Disociativo (que ya no es trastorno de múltiples personalidades) u Otro Trastorno Disociativo Especificado. Se abrevian TID y OTDE, y en inglés DID y OSDD.

🧚 Estos trastornos son mucho más que simplemente "varias personalidades". Tienen sintomatologías complejas, como amnesia, disociación, trauma, etc. Aunque muchos sistemas TID y OTDE llevan vidas re normales porque han aprendido a manejar o han aliviado sus síntomas.

🧚 Pero no todos los sistemas plurales tenemos trastornos mentales.
Existen "sistemas endogénicos" cuya pluralidad se ha desarrollado de otras formas, como es nuestro caso. Las más de las veces, un sistema endogénico no tiene todos los otros síntomas que vienen con un trastorno disociativo. Aunque puede tener otros mambos

Puede haber co-consciencia o estar separades, puede ser estable o cambiar su conformación, puede haber switches voluntarios o involuntarios, puede cambiar quien es el host, pueden tener solo una al frente o co-frontear, puede haber roles para los miembros, etc etc etc. Y lo más importante, cada sistema define que son las entidades que lo habitan, personas, headmates, alters, partes, facetas...
