Something about waking up to the sound of the rain tapping on my window makes me feel especially grateful today. I’ve done it countless times. However, today, the rain has a voice. It’s comforting and familiar. I did not wake up to a torrential downpour loudly requiring me to consider it. It is a gentle and steady rain. I’m so grateful for this gentle and steady rain.
