My #pmos got downgraded to v22.12 finally. Then its screen worked. So i guess it 'd be the fault of the kernel or the driver for monitor...

Oops upgrading #pmos to 23.06 on my #pinephone seems not to be fully successful.
The screen and LED light won't turned on after rebooted...
But the system is up and i can SSH into it. interesting. XDDD
Haven't got time to fix it yet.

I think I may go upgrading my #alpinelinux and #kali on my #lineage first, then go for #pmos.

Running many Linux/android/BSD different distributions(OS) is somehow burdensome since I have take care of them in terms of upgrade..

Currently i have #lineageos , #pmos , my own #slackware based one and #freebsd one as daily drivers. ;-(
They all have largely different upgrade ways...

Yay~Connect an old bluetooth keyboard to my #pmos on #pinephone , by just following the pmos wiki.

need to install bluez. Then
> service bluetooth start
Then
> bluetoothctl into a shell to: scan, pair, connect ... ( quite a few steps)

So need another machine to ssh into it make it happened every time ? (my screen broke)

Me have been using #pmos on #pinephone for a while. Today i almost forgot a command (wl-copy). LOL

But i love #FOSS and #linux ecosystem deeply.

@chiefgyk3d Can't you find one you can install #pmOS in or anyrthing that would remove its current software?

Im going to buy Nokia 8000 to try how Postmarketos will work on feature phones.
Anything I need to know before I brick another phone? XD

#kaios user here. People have ported #postmarketos to various kaios phones. I have also bought a Nokia 2780 as a development device for this purpose.

Still testing my #OnePlus6T with #PostmarketOS and #SXMO and so far it's been OK. I have had some missed call issues but I'm wondering if that's because I had auto suspend enabled and the OP6T doesn't like it ? Anyway I've disabled it and will leave it sitting for a few hours before trying to call it again and see what happens. When auto suspend was enabled it would ring if I'd just been using it so we'll see.

Günstig gebrauchtes #pocophone_f1 heute mit #postmarketos + #sxmo bespielt. Bootloader war bereits unlocked - so ein Glück!
Hab in sxmo mit einer Wischgeste das Telefon gesperrt und nicht mehr an bekommen. Verstehe nicht den großen Buzz um sxmo. Gleich zu #phosh weitergezogen. Aber auch hier ernüchternd: der Software Store aktualisiert nicht und ich konnte mich auch nicht mit meiner Nextcloud verbinden.
Mal gespannt wie sich #plasmamobile schlägt.

The people who are using Xiaomi Mi A2 aka #jasmine_sprout, what are your plans to do with it apart from throwing it away? Lineage OS has dropped support for it and I am finding it impossible to install the version of Ubuntu Touch based on 20.04. PostmarketOS too isn't usable on this device at the moment. Is there some custom ROM which can be used on it?

Yep this week I solved the startup issue of #dnscrypt-proxy (maybe again) in #pmos / #alpinelinux (they are using #openrc).

The startup failed because of the file/dir ownership not match. Dnscrypt-proxy needs to start as root then drop to user by itself and it needs to modify its dir in /var/cache, so...

The solution is to set user as root but group as dnscrypt, in its init script.

But I'm afraid I don't have to report upstream, so... anyone could #help?

@jawsh @mobian Better reasons would be the smaller footprint on disk and the fact that (unless something really changed in a big way lately) #pmOS has way more QtQuick/Kirigami/MauiKit apps than Debian.

So how has my #OnePlus6 journey to install #PMOS and daily drive it you ask ?
Well just my F-in luck to purchase one with a third party replacement display that works perfectly in #Android but not in #Linux yet so it's game over for me for now. 😢

Купил #Samsung #Galaxy S III #i9300 (2012г) за 700 рублей, и установил на него #postmarketOS.

Некоторые сайты, например, mastodon и gitlab - он открывает достаточно быстро, в отличии от люмии 2016 года на винде 10 мобайл. (люмия совсем не открывает их, LOL)

Батарея греется со скоростью нагрева воды в чайнике, но было весело.

Теперь планирую купить #Wileyfox #Swift, с двумя гигами оперативы и с поддержкой звонков, смс и моб. инета в #pmOS.
