My personal brief statement for when US medical dysfunction comes up?

The US spends 2x! OECD peer nations on healthcare while having the WORST life expectancy and abysmal infant mortality.

Whether we call it "wealth transfer" or pure (legalized through lobbying) theft, $5,000+/yr is stolen from each of us to our broken medical system!

We spend 2x our OECD peers on healthcare. We have the *worst* life expectancy of our peers. US infant mortality is horrible. We pay 4x peers in administrative costs. Single Payer healthcare costs less and saves lives.

We have over 18 examples of different flavors to replicate, but the US has chosen greed - epipens, insulin, pharma spent more in the last decade on stock buybacks than research.

        The program “presents a threat to the integrity of traditional
Medicare, and an opportunity for corporations to take money from
taxpayers while denying care to beneficiaries,” said Physicians for a
National Health Program(PNHP). Now known as the 'Accountable Care
Organization Realizing Equity, Access, and Community Health' (ACO REACH)
Model, the experiment inserts a for-profit entity between traditional
Medicare beneficiaries and healthcare providers. The federal government
pays the ACO REACH middlemen to cover patients’ care while allowing them
to pocket a large chunk of the fee as profit.
