Hat jemand einen Tipp für eine App, um ACSM-Dateien (#Adobe DRM) auf dem #iPad zu öffnen? Adobe Digital Editions ist auf dem iPad kompletter Schrott. Gerade nutze ich #PocketBook, das ist aber auch ein wenig zäh beim Rendern von großen PDFs (digitale Tageszeitung). Gerne retoot.

🇬🇧 Looks like #PocketBook was a great buy. The display quality is OK, it has a backlight, physical buttons to change pages (you can also lock the touchscreen), works with #Legimi and #Empik Go 💪 I don't see any drawbacks.

🇵🇱 Wygląda na to, że #PocketBook to był świetny zakup. Jakość obrazu jest OK, ma podświetlenie, ma przyciski fizyczne do zmiany strony (można też zablokować ekran dotykowy), działa z #Legimi i #Empik Go 💪 Nie widzę wad.

@fabianschaar @random_musings Vielen herzlichen Dank für den Tipp. Ich finde es toll, dass ein Hersteller damit ein auf dem Markt befindliches Produkt weiter aufwertet, statt einfach ein teureres Nachfolgemodell anzubieten. Für mich steht damit der Nachfolger für meinen knapp 9 Jahre alten e-Ink-Reader fest: #PocketBook

I had a break on my #pocketbook with the #epup #sz Paper. Using the URL works fine after i add a questionmak to the root url insteadthe sid. Back again. However i could download the epup without and after a change to a New Login Password.
However there was no possibility to log in on the traditional, bookmarked url, to download my daily epup.

Looking at #ereaders for the first time in years. Anyone using #PocketBook and can give any pointers? I can use Calibre to sync but if I can mount it on #Debian or transfer more directly somehow that's a bonus.

Von den Tests her sieht der #Pocketbook Touch HD 3 am interessantesten aus, allerdings habe ich 2023 keine Lust mehr ein Micro-USB Gerät zu kaufen.
Der Pocketbook Era ist technisch ein High-End Gerät, aber teuer (~€200).
Der #tolino shine 4 sieht im Prinzip sehr gut aus, aber hat anscheinend eine eher kurze Akkulaufzeit.

Die #PocketBook-Cloud schien mir ein heißer Kandidat, aber sie macht es so unglaublich umständlich, nicht dort gekaufte Bücher hochzuladen. Wenn man kein Pocketbook-Gerät hat, geht das nur(!) über eine langsame Webseite mit manueller Auswahl jedes Buchs über die klassischen Dateiauswahl. Bei einer großen Calibre-Bibliothek ist das eine Qual und auch bei Neukäufen echt zäh...

Wir suchen gerade einen Nachfolger für ein Kindle eBook Reader.. idealerweise irgendwas offenes mit 8" Display und wasserdicht. Wer hat Empfehlungen dafür? Besten Dank 🙂

I read about an e-ink monitor for phones and thought the idea was interesting (as someone who wants an open source e-ink phone with a physical keyboard), but impractical. Instead of spending $300 to test a monitor (not that this was in the cards), I tried using the open source Screen Stream app on F-Droid to stream my phone screen with my feed reader to my PocketBook InkPad Color. Conclusion: It *works* -- but there are some practical annoyances.
