It also pays off to update the #pico8 emulator. IIRC you only need to replace /mnt/emus/pico8/pico8.elf with the latest version from the Bittboy ZIP which is available at https://github.com/jtothebell/fake-08/releases

I hate to admit it (because I backed the ROM on Kickstarter and in the end it did not run on most flash carts), but #DemonsOfAsteborg is a real fun game and since it works with the #SegaMegaDrive emulator that comes with the Miyoo Custom Firmware (https://github.com/TriForceX/MiyooCFW) for the #PocketGo, I have kind of made my peace with it. #SegaGenesis
